1. Fall Harvest Festival at Underwood Family Farms

A Ventura County favorite, the Fall Harvest Festival at Underwood farms is a Simi Valley original! Every weekend in October, the farm transforms into a harvest wonderland with live music, animal shows, tractor-drawn wagon rides, a big pumpkin patch, and other activities. Kids will enjoy the kid's corral and pedal tractors, as well as a wooden climbing train. Plan to visit the farm anytime from 9am to 6pm.

Celebrate Halloween with family fun at Boo at the Zoo at the Moorpark College Teaching Zoo! Enjoy trick-or-treating, pumpkin bingo, photo ops, and animal encounters, including Clarence the 102-year-old Galapagos tortoise. 3. Classic at Corriganville Movie Night: Billy the Kid vs. Dracula

Step back in time with an outdoor screening of Billy the Kid vs. Dracula on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at historic Corriganville. Starring Chuck Courtney as Billy the Kid and John Carradine as Count Dracula, this cult classic is sure to delight fans of vintage cinema. Gates open at 5:00 PM, with the movie starting at dusk. Bring a chair, blanket, and even a picnic basket for a cozy night under the stars. Registration opens September 12—secure your spot early!
4. 64th Annual Simi Valley Halloween Youth Carnival

Enjoy a howling good time at Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District’s 64th annual Halloween Carnival for kids of all ages. Held on Halloween night, October 31st, carnival activities include inflatable bouncers and slides, hayrides, snacks to enjoy, carnival games, carnival booths, a guessing station (with prizes!), face painting, a photo wall, balloon animals, surprise entertainment and more! Food will be available for purchase. Tickets go on sale October 1st, and are $5 per person. Kids ages 2 and under are free.
5. Dia de los Muertos Celebration

On October 26, celebrate the annual Day of the Dead Celebration at Strathearn Historical Park. This event includes live performances, dancers, live music, food and craft vendors, and crafts for kids. All alters are created by local families. The cost online is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5-12. Tickets can soon be purchased online or at the gate for $5 more for adults. Costumes are encouraged!
6. Iceoplex Trunt or Treat and Ice Skating

Get ready for spooky fun on (and off) the ice at Iceoplex Simi Valley’s 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat!
On Sunday, October 5th, hit the rink for public skating from 2:15–4:00 PM, then head outside for treats, decorated trunks, and Halloween fun from 4:00–6:00 PM. Costumes encouraged—skates optional!

The Simi Valley Santa Susana Train Depot and Museum invites you for trains and treats! On October 18th and 19th, from 1-4pm at the Depot itself. Come in costume for trick-or-treating and stay after for a movie! While there, take a tour of the museum to see the historical artifacts and trains on display!
8. Hallo-wine Party at Nectar of the Dogs Wine

Join the fun at Nectar of the Dogs Wine as doors open at 5 pm with River’s Pizza House serving all night. Enjoy live music by the Vinyl Gypsies from 6–9 pm, plus a festive costume contest with prizes for Best Couple (human + dog), Best Wine-Themed, and Most Original. There’s no cover charge, just a two-drink minimum—so bring your Hallo-Wine spirit for an evening of friends, music, and wine!
9. Simi Valley Fall Street Fair

The Simi Valley Fall Street Fair will be held on October 25th from 9am-4pm. There will be something for the whole family! This is a free event that will include games, contests, food and drink vendors, live music and performances, trick or treating at the vendor booths, and a kids fun zone!
